Queens receives $2.2 M federal grant

The U.S Department of Education gave Queens a $2.2 million grant to be disbursed over five years. The grant will support Queens in academic support services, student-faculty interactions and digital learning environments.

“As a student-focused institution, Queens is very intentional about our students’ persistence, engagement and success,” President Pamela Davies said to the Charlotte Business Journal.

One specific initiative Queens plans to use the grant for is to create a summer program that will help students succeed in university classrooms.
