Queens swimming wins fourth consecutive national championships

The men's and women's swimming teams celebrate in the pool together after winning their fourth consecutive national title.

Over the weekend, Queens men’s and women’s swimming took home a fourth straight NCAA Division II Championships title. The meet concluded on Saturday in Greensboro, NC at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The men took home 558 points, an incredible 251 points ahead of second-place California Baptist with 307 points. The women dominated with 574.5 points, a full 173.5 points ahead of second-place Drury with 401.

In addition to the team titles, Queens swimmers grabbed 17 individual titles en route to seven NCAA DII records.

Junior Marius Kusch led the way on the men’s side, winning four individual titles, followed closely by senior Paul Pijulet with three individual titles. McKenzie Stevens, a senior, and Wanda Dollmayer, a freshman, both took home individual titles for the women. The Queens relay teams were in full force for both teams, winning eight different titles. A list of all of the Queens NCAA DII Championship title winners is below.

This year’s senior class will now graduate undefeated at the NCAA DII National Championships, winning the team title all four years.
