SGA committee update

The Student Government Association Public Affairs Committee has released an update on projects each committee has been working on during the month of January to keep students informed and involved.

The Campus Life Committee has been focusing on food and dining. The committee is organizing a food task force to be comprised of students who are passionate about the quality of the dining hall meals.

The Campus Security, Transportation and Health Committee has announced that about 90 percent of repairs have been completed since their campus safety walk last semester. Also, the smoking area has been moved 25 feet closer to the South parking deck.

The Senior Year Experience committee hosted the Royal Ball on Jan. 31. Preparations are underway for the Senior Panel and the Bailey Bonfire.

The Internal Affairs Committee and Senate will host Students Taking Action Night on Feb.11. Senate applications will be released Feb. 18.

The Campus Improvement Committee is working on creating a tailgating area on the Levine Center Lawn and looking into the feasibility of installing vending machines in Barnhardt Residence Hall.
