Campus safety report

Campus Police has released a list of campus safety incidents occurring between Jan. 1-23:

  • Student gave ID card and room key to unauthorized visitor
  • Strong odor of marijuana from residence hall
  • Suspicious vehicle – drug offense
  • Noise complaint from Residence Hall
  • Parked vehicle struck in South parking deck
  • Verbal threat
  • Possible drug activity in residence hall
  • Possible domestic violence
  • Stolen bicycle
  • Damage to access point of residence hall

Safety tip:

An important responsibility of a victim or witness of a crime or other emergency is timely reporting to appropriate authorities.  Campus Police has police officers on duty 24 hours a day who are prepared to deal with incidents on campus. You can report an incident by calling 704-337-2306. When doing so, provide as much detail as possible about the situation, including at least the following:  your name, your location and your telephone number.
